Communication, Communication, Communication!

I know it has been said many times that communication is the key to a healthy relationship. That being said, why does it seem so hard to communicate sometimes? There are times when I want to say something to my partner, but I don't? And what happens? It comes out later on along with a list of other trivial things at the most inopportune time!

So why don't I say what is on my mind when it first occurs? I'm not sure but I have some ideas. One is that maybe I can just forget about it, it's not that big of a deal anyway......yeah right! The other idea I have is that if I say something, it will lead to some sort of confrontation. I know logically that some constuctive disagreements can be good for a relationship, but part of me is reluctant to initiate it.

Would anyone like to comment or share some thoughts or experiences about this? I would certainly appreciate it, and I'm sure others who are to shy to comment would benefit from it as well. That's all for tonight, I hope everyone has a safe and healthy Sunday!
